About 100 years ago, Porin Puuvilla was used as a spinning mill, and in 2014, it was transformed into a large shopping center with offices, a housing sales center, warehouses, and parking, while retaining some of the factory's features. The 13 companies involved in this large-scale renovation project utilized model-based design and leveraged BIM throughout the project, significantly improving the construction process and the quality of the building. Parma, which handled the design, manufacturing, and construction of precast concrete, worked on BIM within a very tight schedule.
